Toshihiro "Tosh" Davis, a recent mechanical engineering graduate with a computer science minor from the University of Utah, has set himself apart with a hands-on approach in the aerospace sector. During his time at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Tosh contributed to the Mars Sample Return mission, and at the University of Utah's Lassonde Institute, he led the Make Space as Shop Director. Tosh's educational path was enhanced by earning an associate degree in Welding Technology from Utah State University, where he played a crucial role in the SkillsUSA welding fabrication team's championship success. As he embarks on the Matthew Isakowitz Fellowship Program, Tosh is focused on pioneering practical aerospace solutions at Astrolab this summer. Beyond engineering, Tosh runs a YouTube channel dedicated to sharing his knowledge in constructing CNC plasma cutters, and he enjoys outdoor pursuits like skiing, hiking, and mountain biking. Overall, he is driven by a constant passion for learning and exploring his diverse interests.
