Henry Demarest is a Junior studying Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science at Yale University. He is the Co-President of the Yale Undergraduate Aerospace Association, which is the largest engineering group on campus and seeks to make aerospace engineering accessible to undergraduate students through projects related to competition rockets, student-built CubeSats, and space policy research. In addition to managing the entire organization as Co-President, Henry also devotes significant amounts of time to his work on Project Liquid, which is the YUAA’s initiative to develop a liquid bipropellant rocket. Previously, Henry has also interned at Astrobotic Technologies, where he worked within the Lunar Surface Systems department on upcoming projects to explore the moon. He is very passionate about the utilization of robotics and automation to explore the solar system and facilitate humanity’s expansion into space. Outside of his engineering work, Henry also enjoys running, reading science fiction, playing intramural soccer, and spending time with friends.
