2021 Matthew Isakowitz Fellow Mary Cooper is one of 12 crew members selected for the mission dedicated to advancing disability inclusion in space exploration.

“The Matthew Isakowitz program has a great alumni group. We started discussing what opportunities we could take advantage of together, now that we had this little community. Out of all that brainstorming came the idea of doing an analog astronaut mission.”

Sarah Chu and Madeline Bowne are among the 30 students selected for the 2021 Class of the Matthew Isakowitz Fellowship Program.

The OSU AE undergrad shared, “I believe that the discoveries made in space have the ability to benefit the daily lives of everyone on Earth.”

Rutgers MAE Senior Raymond Martin has been accepted into the Matthew Isakowitz Fellowship Program class of 2021. He will be interning with Blue Origin this summer.

Rutgers Mechanical Engineering Alumna Madeline Bowne (currently a graduate student at Georgia Tech) will be interning with Made in Space this summer.

Caltech graduate student Brit Wylie has been awarded a Matthew Isakowitz Fellowship. Brit is excited to work on commercial space accessibility with Rocket Lab and the Matthew Isakowitz Fellowship Program this summer.

Many people dream of being an astronaut and rocketing into outer space, but George Mason University senior Sidney Boakye just landed an opportunity that launches him closer to that long-standing dream.

University of Washington undergraduate Khalil Jones, a member of the Society for Advanced Rocket Propulsion and researcher with the Williams Turbulence Lab, will intern with The Spaceship Company through the fellowship.

2021 Fellow Alay Shah, a mechanical and aerospace student at The University of Alabama in Huntsville, shared, "I really do believe that everyone should have access to space and that it shouldn't be as expensive as it is.”

Huynh, who won the Brooke Owens Fellowship in 2019 and the Matthew Isakowitz Fellowship last year, is one of four winners this year of a merit-based WIA scholarship.

Anthony Danna, Chava Friedman, and Gautham Viswaroopan have been selected as members of the 2021 Matthew Isakowitz Fellowship Program.

Gozalzani is the fourth AAE student selected for the program that provides college juniors, seniors and graduate students with a mentor and a paid summer internship at a commercial spaceflight company.
