Richard Nederlander is pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering at Vanderbilt University, where he is researching how radiation effects impact space-based electronics. In 2018, he graduated from Columbia College of Columbia University in the City of New York with a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in both Astrophysics and Music. He has previously interned at space and science companies, which include Engility (now SAIC) and the World Science Festival. He also writes extensively about the space industry on his blog “Space Industry Insights.”
