Mark Paral is a Senior at Purdue University pursuing a degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. At Purdue, he has been involved as a leader in the Purdue Space Program student organization on both the Solids and High-Altitude rocket teams. In his free time, he enjoys launching his personal rocket designs and has achieved a level 2 certification in high-powered rocketry. Additionally, Mark has worked in the Son Research Group at Zucrow Laboratories investigating properties of piezoelectric and flexoelectric energetic materials. In the past, he has interned at Firefly Aerospace and Blue Origin on their avionics teams, making contributions to the Alpha, Blue Ghost, and New Shepard vehicles. Moving forward, Mark intends to pursue graduate studies with a focus on autonomy and controls systems. Mark also enjoys playing tennis, bowling, and music.
