Randa Bassou is a Ph.D. student at Mississippi State University. She graduated with a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering in Fall of 2016 at Mississippi State University and is continuing with a doctoral degree in the same engineering branch. Her research focuses on developing a multiscale physics-based model of impact ice adhesion, with the end goal of facilitating the use of advanced, ice-resistant surfaces to mitigate the negative effects of ice accretion. Randa has always been fascinated by space exploration and hopes to step foot on Mars one day. She is extremely excited about the future of commercial space and hopes to partake in building a sustainable future for humans in space. In her free time, she enjoys traveling as well as reading and watching anything science-fiction-themed.
