Maya Harris is a junior at Stanford University pursuing a degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics with a minor in History. She's been a space nerd for as long as she can remember and has absolutely loved building rockets and writing policy proposals with the Stanford Student Space Initiative, where she is now serving as co-president. She's been lucky enough to work all over the aerospace industry through intern experiences at JPL, Orbit Fab, and Boeing, and she is so excited to try something new with Virgin Galactic this summer. Maya is also a passionate advocate for women in STEM and is part of the Seeds of Change program in Stanford's Women's Leadership Innovation Lab. In her free time, she likes to read, hike, bake elaborate cakes, and play the drums in a space-themed cover band.
