Clara Ma is a Master’s student at MIT’s Technology Policy Program. In conjunction with the MIT AeroAstro department, FAA, and Aerospace Corporation, Clara researches the projected atmospheric impact of commercial launch vehicles in the coming decades.

Previously, she worked at NASA’s Office of International and Interagency Relations and the Federal Aviation Administration’s Office of Commercial Space Transportation.

Clara graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in Science, Technology, and International Affairs. As former President of the Georgetown University Astronomical Society, she worked alongside other students to renovate the historical Heyden Observatory on campus.

Clara’s fundamental philosophy is to streamline regulations and increase the accessibility of space. When she’s not pondering advancements in propulsion and their consequences on humanity, Clara enjoys reading and writing science fiction and philosophy.
